The nature of wedding photography means there is only one chance to get it right and so we invest a lot of time, effort and planning into producing your wedding photography, making sure everything runs as smoothly as possible. Read on to find out a bit more about the service we provide and our method of working.
At this meeting we discuss your wedding day and show you some more of our photography including albums of recent weddings from start to finish. Once you are happy that our style of photography and method of working meets your requirements, we ask you to complete our booking form and return it to us with a £300 booking fee to secure your date, the remainder of the fee will be due 30 days prior to your wedding.
About a month or so before your wedding we will email you our wedding day questionnaire for you to fill out confirming the timings of the day etc. From this we will prepare a schedule of the day so we know where we will be and when.
Choosing an engagement shoot is a great way to get to know each other a bit more before the big day and also gives you the opportunity to relax and get used to being in front of the camera. The photos from your engagement shoot will be supplied on disk and are often used for save the date cards or a signing board.
Your wedding day
We start the day photographing the bridal preparations and then arrange to meet the groom at the ceremony venue about 45 minutes before the ceremony, this gives us time to get some photos before the guests start arriving. We’ll continue to provide documentary coverage of your ceremony (as permitted by the venue), and then it’s on to your reception.
Once you have grabbed a glass of champagne, we will take a few moments to capture some natural portraits of you both before returning to your guests and whilst you mingle we will capture your guests enjoying the day. When you sit down for your meal we will take a break, don’t worry about feeding us, we are quite self-sufficient! Then if we are staying on into the evening, it’s the speeches, the evening celebrations and the first dance.
Receiving your photography
We download the photos from the memory cards as soon as we get back from a wedding and then copy them onto a second hard drive for security. Then begins the process of editing the images down to the final selection by removing duplicates and people blinking etc. We then edit each image, using professional image editing software, enhancing the colours and tones giving each image the wow factor.
Your wedding photos will be ready 3 weeks after the wedding. The images are saved onto a USB, with licence for personal use and we provide them in large format for making prints and smaller versions, perfect for emailing and social networks such as Facebook. The number of photos received varies depending on how long we are in attendance for at a wedding, but for a full day of photography from morning preparations through to the first dance it will typically be 300-350. We also upload them to your password protected online gallery so you can share them with family and friends.
